Two unidentified men were fatally shot by the security forces during an alleged confrontation in Glendevon, St James last night. Two illegal firearms and 36 rounds of ammunition were reportedly seized. It’s reported that about 10:30, a police-military team was in Glendevon to carry out a targeted operation when information was received about armed men at a bar in the Dallas area. The security team was reportedly greeted with gunfire on approaching the bar. The fire was returned and the men ran in different directions. A man was later found along a dirt track with wounds to his upper body. A nine millimetre Glock pistol with 29 rounds and a .38 revolver loaded with six rounds were reporedly found nearby. Another wounded man was found on the Sun Valley main road. Both men were pronounced dead at hospital.
