A blessed Sunday to you, our most cherished readers. I do hope you are all well and having a wonderfully restful day with your respective families and loved ones. Today we remember former Express Woman editor, Angela Martin-Hinds who passed away a year ago. This magazine was her passion and I hope that in the year I have served as editor, I have done as good a job as she did for the years she steered the publication.

Angela loved people, hated injustice and spoke her mind on anything and everything. I’ll never forget her rants during the last three US presidential elections. Obama was her boy and Trump, well, not. We here at the Express miss Angela and her desk remains uninhabited, partly because no one can really fill that void.

Enjoy the remains of the day and the week ahead. Be cautious as you go about your business. Be watchful and mindful of the environment wherever you are. Do not be afraid to offer at least a smile and if possible a word of blessing to whoever you encounter as you go along.
